Recap: Lick-Wilmerding Tigers vs. University Red Devils
The Lick-Wilmerding Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell 58-50 to University. Lick-Wilmerding has struggled against University recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Lick-Wilmerding lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hailey Moy. Despite the final result, she scored 24 points along with three steals. Moy continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Robins, who scored six points along with four steals.
Lick-Wilmerding's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for University, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.
Lick-Wilmerding will be playing at home against Saint Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Lick-Wilmerding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for University, they will face off against San Domenico at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (University is ranked 114th, while San Domenico is ranked 135th).
