Soccer Recap: West Comes Up Short

West entered their game against Lincoln on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The West Wolfpack fell just short of the Lincoln Trojans by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 621st, while the Trojans are ranked 33rd).

West is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5-3. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West will face off against Tracy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will challenge Lodi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lodi's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
