The home team had won the previous five meetings between Linn-Mar and Iowa City, and Iowa City kept the tradition alive. The Lions lost 4-1 to the Little Hawks on Tuesday. Linn-Mar haven't had much luck with Iowa City recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Linn-Mar's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Iowa City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linn-Mar will square off against Iowa City West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Iowa City, they will take on Pleasant Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Pleasant Valley will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Iowa City surely won't give up without a fight.
