Softball Recap: George Walton Academy Takes a Loss

George Walton Academy lost against Loganville Christian Academy on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell 8-3 to the Lions. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Lions since Tuesday.

Kyler Hannay made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

George Walton Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Loganville Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George Walton Academy will square off against Alcovy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Loganville Christian Academy, they will welcome Tallulah Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.31 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
