Basketball Recap: Palo Verde Valley Falls Despite Big Games from Reagan Mccarthy and Jessica Walton

Palo Verde Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 47-40 to the Calexico Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-39 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Palo Verde Valley had strong showings from Jessica Walton, who posted 12 points, and Reagan McCarthy, who put up ten points.

Palo Verde Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Calexico, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-15.

Palo Verde Valley will be playing at home against Vincent Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calexico, they will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
