Softball Recap: Boulder Panthers vs. Northglenn Norsemen
Boulder extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 20 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-18. They lost 15-0 to the Northglenn Norsemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Norsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 on September 11th.
Boulder saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendal Evans, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
As for Northglenn, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the contest before.
On Northglenn's side, Claire Wolford was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Wolford was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklynn Hendrick, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Kloe Barela was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
