Making Waves Academy hadn't done well against California School for the Deaf recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Making Waves Academy Marlins blew past the California School for the Deaf Eagles 49-22. The Marlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Making Waves Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.9 points over those games. As for California School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
