Basketball Recap: Hubbard Takes a Loss

Hubbard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 73-36 defeat at the hands of the Covington Owls. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Hubbard's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Covington, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Hubbard will be home for the holidays to greet Rosebud-Lott at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-34 victory against Penelope on the 11th.
