It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rock Springs Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Southland Academy Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Brandt Washington made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Washington was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Rock Springs Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Adam McGinnis, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The Eagles are 12-2 when McGinnis posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Josh McDaniel, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Rock Springs Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Rock Springs Christian Academy moved to 17-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Southland Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-20.
