The Northeast Bearcats will face off against the Fayette Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Northeast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Northeast's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Pilot Grove 21-0. The Bearcats have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Olivia Cross and Jaycee David were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Cross tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, David tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Cross went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while David went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Brumley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Kylee Dodge, who went 1-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.

Northeast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Fayette had just enough and edged out Russellville 6-5 on Thursday.

Northeast's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Fayette, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
