It was a good run, but Red Cloud unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Hill Bobcats. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Red Cloud lost, don't look at Aiva Rust. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points.

Blue Hill had a senior duo take command as Ellie Mangers earned 14 points and Reece Mlady had eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Mlady has become a key player for Blue Hill: the team is 6-3 when she posts at least ten boards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Red Cloud's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Blue Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Red Cloud will face off against Superior at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Blue Hill has already played their next matchup, a 43-37 victory against Franklin on the 18th.
