If Round Valley was riding high fresh off their 52-28 takedown of Anderson Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Round Valley Mustangs took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Point Arena Pirates. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Point Arena to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hattie Piper, who posted 21 points. The contest was Piper's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Addy Clark was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Round Valley's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3. As for Point Arena, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8.
