Soccer Recap: Ventura Takes a Loss

Ventura pushed their score to zero the last time they played Oxnard, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. The Ventura Cougars fell just short of the Oxnard Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Ventura's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-3. As for Oxnard, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1-1.

Ventura wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 0-0 draw against San Marcos on the 27th. Oxnard has also already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Pacifica on the 27th.
