Softball Recap: Cass Wildcats vs. Wayne Blue Devils
Cass extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 3-14. They fell 5-0 to the Wayne Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 11-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
As for Wayne, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games.

Cass has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Centennial on the 20th. As for Wayne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Plattsmouth on the 20th.
