Basketball Recap: Weston Ranch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Foresthill last Monday, Weston Ranch came back down to earth. The Weston Ranch Cougars were dealt a 64-13 loss at the hands of the Immanuel Eagles on Saturday. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Weston Ranch saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lila Harper posted six points and five blocks. Harper is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played.

Weston Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Immanuel, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Weston Ranch will face off against Vanden at 3:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Immanuel, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Immanuel Eagles face off against the Mission Oak Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Immanuel is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
