Basketball Recap: Carver High School of Engineering & Science Comes Up Short

On Friday, Carver High School of Engineering & Science had to suffer through a 64-28 loss at the hands of the West Catholic Burrs.

Despite the loss, Carver High School of Engineering & Science still got an impressive performance from Savannah Hall, who posted 16 points. Hall has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella Brown, who earned five points.

Leading West Catholic to victory were Ciana Blake and Milan Trusty. Blake went 7 of 10 on her way to 17 points, while Trusty went 6 for 11 on her way to 14 points and six steals. Those 17 points gave Blake a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciani Scott, who had six points and nine rebounds.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-17 defeat against Audenried on the 9th. As for West Catholic, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fleming at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
