Basketball Recap: Yara E Key Part of a Team Effort in Cougars Win

College Prep's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Drew Dragons as the College Prep Cougars made off with a 43-21 victory. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 win the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

College Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yara E, who posted 15 points. E is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Deirdre B, who earned nine points.

College Prep's record is now 6-8. As for Drew, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Athenian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Drew, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Quarry Lane at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quarry Lane's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Drew's offense will have their work cut out for them.
