Softball Recap: Gunnison Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Gunnison was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 17-1 to the Strasburg Indians. The Cowboys have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Gunnison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Vincent, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Gunnison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Strasburg, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Gunnison wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Grand Junction on the 2nd. As for Strasburg, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Rocky Ford on the 30th.
