Softball Recap: Gunnison Comes Up Short

Gunnison came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Strasburg Indians, falling 17-1. The matchup marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Gunnison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Vincent, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Gunnison's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Strasburg, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, Gunnison will take on Grand Junction at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Strasburg, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Rocky Ford on the 30th.
