Softball Recap: Southmoore Extends Winning Streak to Three

Southmoore waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Edmond Santa Fe Wolves. The SaberCats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Kandace Burnett was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Southmoore's win bumped their record up to 23-15. As for Edmond Santa Fe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-23 record this season.

Southmoore will square off against Cache at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the SaberCats 3.8, the Bulldogs 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Edmond Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
