Baseball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Westside was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 12-2 to the Thomson Bulldogs. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Westside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Williamson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Williamson also put up a double, which washis first of the season.

Westside now has a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Westside will head out to square off against Cross Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Westside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Thomson, they will head out on the road to take on Swainsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Swainsboro's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Thomson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
