Baseball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison lost to Benedictine back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blue Streaks fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 6-5.

Eddy Gvora made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Benedictine, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Madison will be taking part in a tournament against South at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Streaks are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Benedictine, they will square off against St. John at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
