Soccer Game Preview: North Monterey County vs. Carmel

The North Monterey County Condors are taking a road trip to square off against the Carmel Padres at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. North Monterey County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

North Monterey County fell victim to Watsonville and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Wildcatz, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, North Monterey County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 939th, while Watsonville are ranked 248th).

Meanwhile, Carmel had just enough and edged out Alisal 2-1 on Friday.

North Monterey County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Carmel, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1.

North Monterey County suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Carmel in their previous matchup on January 12th. Can the Condors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
