Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Pinewood's 18th in Last 19 Outings

Pinewood had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 victory over Priory on Wednesday. The 48-point effort marked Pinewood's lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

It was another big night for Jolyn Ding, who posted 16 points. Her big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Katherine Garr was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Pinewood is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.2 points. Priory moved to 22-5 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
