Baseball Recap: Plainfield East Comes Up Short

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the Minooka Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bengals of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Minooka, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Plainfield East will venture away from home to challenge Naperville Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Minooka, they will host Lincoln-Way West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
