Connally was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 27-21 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lorena Leopards. The Cadets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Leopards apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Connally lost, don't look at Braeden Ford. Despite the final result, he rushed for 148 yards and three TDs. Ford showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards.

Even if they lost, Connally's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Lawrence Carter was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
