The Head-Royce Jayhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Bentley Phoenix at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Head-Royce is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.

Head-Royce's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over St. Joseph Notre Dame. Given Head-Royce's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while St. Joseph Notre Dame are ranked 974th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Head-Royce's offense was hitting St. Joseph Notre Dame from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Eva Purves led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Bentley was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to Justin-Siena. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Bentley couldn't quite close it out.

The win made it two in a row for Head-Royce and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Bentley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1.

Head-Royce got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 against Bentley by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jayhawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
