Basketball Recap: South Tahoe's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but South Tahoe unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 59-43 bruising from the North Valleys Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-36 back in January.

South Tahoe lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elliana Morales, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Morales a new career-high in points. Valeria Diaz was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

South Tahoe's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. As for North Valleys, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

South Tahoe has already played their next match (against Wooster), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Valleys has already played their next contest, a 51-21 victory against Truckee on the 31st.
