First Presbyterian Day fell victim to Stratford Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Eagles are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, John Milledge Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Piedmont Academy on Tuesday. Considering the Trojans' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

First Presbyterian Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for John Milledge Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-2.

First Presbyterian Day took their victory against John Milledge Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for First Presbyterian Day since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
