The Bisbee Pumas will venture away from home to square off against the Palo Verde Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Bisbee's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Tombstone 46-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Hunter Wright was his usual excellent self, picking up 281 receiving yards and three scores, while also rushing for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. Those 281 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Tryston Meyer was another key player, having thrown for 365 yards and three touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bisbee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 313 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Bisbee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aden Kroger and Wright. Another thorn in Tombstone's side was Fabian Hernandez, who made 20 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palo Verde). They claimed a resounding 77-0 victory over Santa Rita. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Bisbee better keep an eye on Jackson Tyson. He was instrumental in Palo Verde's win, rushing for 23 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 70 yards and one touchdown on only five passes.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Palo Verde, racking up 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kameron Pippen, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Bisbee's record now sits at 3-5. As for Palo Verde, their record is now 5-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Bisbee has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 153.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Palo Verde struggles in that department as they've been averaging 173.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Bisbee against Palo Verde in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 47-20 victory. Do the Pumas have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
