Recap: Lathrop Spartans vs. West Wolfpack
The Lathrop Spartans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 54-27 win over West on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-8.
Leading Lathrop to victory were Shakara Porter and Tatianna Lowery. Porter scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals, while Lowery scored 21 points. Porter is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Adams, who scored 5 points.
Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Lathrop is on the road again on Thursday and play against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for West, they will take on Golden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Golden Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1042nd, while West is ranked 375th).
