Dalton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hiram Hornets. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Catamounts' highest-scoring match to date.

Dalton's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hiram, their record now sits at 3-4.

Looking ahead, Dalton will host Allatoona at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hiram, they will head out on the road to face off against Cedartown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
