Preview: Arcadia Titans vs. St. Mary's Knights
The Arcadia Titans will be playing at home against the St. Mary's Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Arcadia's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Seton Catholic 78-43. While losing is never fun, Arcadia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Sentinels are ranked 14th).
Tianna Knighton put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 33 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 76.7% of Arcadia's points, marking the 18th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's came up short against the Sabercats on Wednesday and fell 66-54. St. Mary's has not had much luck with the Sabercats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Arcadia has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
