Basketball Recap: Bodine Gets the Win

After losing to Penn Treaty the last time they met, Bodine decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Bodine came out on top against the Penn Treaty Wolves by a score of 43-34 on Monday.

Isabella Ortiz and Aliyah Rogers certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Ortiz went 5 for 12 on her way to 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Rogers posted 11 points along with four steals and three blocks. That was a full 44.1% of Penn Treaty's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Malayah Brown, who scored two points and five rebounds.

Bodine now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Penn Treaty, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Bodine will take on Abraham Lincoln at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Abraham Lincoln: 25.8, Bodine: 28.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Penn Treaty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
