Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Amaya Jimenez and Emma Parker Lead Olathe Northwest to Victory

Olathe Northwest won the last time they faced Lawrence Free State and things went their way on Thursday too. The Ravens walked away with a 3-1 win over the Firebirds. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ravens.

Olathe Northwest was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12, 21-25, 25-22.

Leading Olathe Northwest to victory were Emma Parker and Amaya Jimenez. Parker had five digs and two aces, while Jimenez had 18 digs and two assists. Parker has been hot recently, having also posted 16 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Despite the loss, Lawrence Free State still got an impressive performance from Ava Corbin, who had nine digs and three assists.

Olathe Northwest's record is now 14-5. As for Lawrence Free State, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8.
