Football Recap: Smithson Valley Piles Up the Points Against Boerne-Champion

Smithson Valley won the last time they faced Boerne-Champion and things went their way on Friday too. The Rangers breezed past the Chargers to the tune of 41-14. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Chargers are ranked 363rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Boerne-Champion lost, don't look at Brogan Dempsey. Despite the final result, he picked up 174 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dempsey really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Smithson Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 29.5 points. As for Boerne-Champion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
