Baseball Game Preview: Lowndes Vikings vs. Ware County Gators

The Lowndes Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Ware County Gators at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Lowndes came up short against IMG Academy and fell 5-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ware County suffered their biggest defeat since April 5, 2025 on Saturday. They lost 15-4 to Etowah.

Ware County's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lowndes, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Lowndes skirted past Ware County 6-4 when the teams last played on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
