Soccer Game Preview: Moreno Valley vs. Tierra Encantada

Moreno Valley is 0-10 against Tierra Encantada since September of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Timberwolves will welcome Tierra Encantada at 4:00 p.m. Moreno Valley has given up an average of 5.2 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moreno Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Monte Del Sol Charter on Thursday. They lost 10-1 to the Dragons. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Moreno Valley were already down 6-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Ry Pepper, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tierra Encantada). They blew past Questa 11-1 on Friday. With Tierra Encantada ahead 5-1 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

The victory made it two in a row for Tierra Encantada and bumps their season record up to 8-4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those two matches. As for Moreno Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
