Basketball Recap: Penn Hills Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

On Saturday, the Penn Hills Indians were able to grind out a solid victory over the Serra Catholic Eagles, taking the game 45-36.

When it comes to explaining why Serra Catholic lost, don't look at Abby Genes. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points and five boards. The game was Genes' third in a row with at least ten points.

Penn Hills' win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Serra Catholic, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7.

Penn Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Brashear at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Serra Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 67-61 defeat against West Greene on the 3rd.
