Soccer Game Preview: Ygnacio Valley vs. Berean Christian

The Ygnacio Valley Wolves will take on the Berean Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Ygnacio Valley is headed into Thursday's following a draw, the team's first since January 14. Neither they nor Concord could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Berean Christian came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Bears onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won nine games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hannah Morrell and Caitlyn Carroll scored all three of Berean Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Berean Christian's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight contests. With that draw, Ygnacio Valley's record moves to 3-10-3.
