Baseball Recap: Chantilly Comes Up Short

Chantilly and Herndon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Chantilly had to settle for second. They fell 6-2 to the Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for Chantilly and nudges their season record down to 6-18. As for Herndon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Chantilly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Herndon, they will square off against Yorktown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
