Baseball Recap: Clarke Central Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Clarke Central's offense. They fell just short of the Jackson County Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Gladiators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Clarke Central dropped their record down to 8-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Jackson County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Clarke Central will head out to take on Alcovy at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson County, they will face off against Winder-Barrow at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
