Baseball Recap: Richmond Senior Gets the Win

Richmond Senior had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Butler Bulldogs by a score of 5-0 on Friday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Caden Nolan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Nolan wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drew Gause, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Richmond Senior's record is now 19-6. As for Butler, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-8.

Richmond Senior has already played their next game, a 6-1 defeat against Ballantyne Ridge on the 12th. Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
