Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Mirage vs. Palm Springs

Rancho Mirage is 0-10 against Palm Springs since January of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rancho Mirage Rattlers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Palm Springs Indians at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Rancho Mirage fell victim to Shadow Hills and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 783rd, while the Knights are ranked 299th).

Meanwhile, Palm Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Palm Desert. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by just one goal.

Palm Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-2. As for Rancho Mirage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
