Basketball Recap: Madison Peterson Key Part of a Team Effort in Vikings Win

On Monday, everything went the Glendale Vikings's way against the Northern Cambria Colts as the Glendale Vikings made off with a 55-29 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.

Glendale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Peterson, who posted 20 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least a third of Glendale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Leiden, who earned 14 points.

The win got Glendale back to even at 8-8. As for Northern Cambria, their defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Glendale won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Star at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendale is facing North Star at the right time seeing as North Star is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Northern Cambria, they will host Cambria Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
