Basketball Game Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Ponderosa Bruins

The Roseville Tigers and the Ponderosa Bruins will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roseville's tournament run continued when they took on Bret Harte on Thursday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Roseville made off with a 40-39 win over Bret Harte. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 767th, while the Bullfrogs are ranked 191st).

Meanwhile, Ponderosa put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 58-25 win over Union Mine. The Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 33 points or more this season.

Roseville's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Ponderosa, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.

Roseville strolled past Ponderosa in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 by a score of 51-32. Does Roseville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ponderosa turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
