Campbellsport's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Mayville Cardinals 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in April, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Sawyer Galligan and Wyatt Loehr did most of the damage at the plate: Galligan went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Loehr went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Galligan has posted since back in April.

Campbellsport has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mayville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Coming up, Campbellsport will be playing in front of their home fans against Lomira at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.22 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mayville, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Mary's Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
