Baseball Recap: Platt Comes Up Short

Platt fell victim to Maloney and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 20, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Platt got a good showing from Devyn Page, who struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Platt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vance Romano, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Platt's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-11-1. As for Maloney, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
