Baseball Recap: Brooks County Takes a Loss

Brooks County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Cairo Syrupmakers. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Brooks County's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Cairo, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooks County will square off against Georgia Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Generals have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Cairo, they will challenge Bainbridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
