Softball Recap: Monument Valley Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

Monument Valley won the last time they faced Window Rock and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs blew past the Fighting Scouts 18-7. Considering the Mustangs have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Angel Haskan was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nannabah Haskan, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases and four runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Monument Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Monument Valley is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Window Rock, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
