Recap: Redwood Christian Eagles vs. Head-Royce Jayhawks
After a string of three wins, the Redwood Christian Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Head-Royce. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Redwood Christian of the 63-32 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.
Despite the loss, Redwood Christian still got an impressive performance from Nia Rogers, who scored 35 points along with eight steals. That was a full 72.9% of Redwood Christian's points, marking the 26th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sara Collier was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Redwood Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Redwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Head-Royce, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5.
Redwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Head-Royce also has no future games currently scheduled.
